Funmi Ogbue has demonstrated the importance of female leadership in a country where 50% of the population are women and largely underemployed. She has grown her organisations by 100% year on year from inception. Funmi Ogbue is the Managing Director of Zigma focused on Oil and Gas Services providing Soil Remediation and Engineering, Procurement, Construction Services, inspection services, remediation services, waste management and other specialized services such as Chemical Supply, Pipeline and Process services, Marine services, Manpower Supply and Human Capacity Development. As founder of Zigma, Funmi has taken what began as an oil and Gas Service company to a full-blown Exploration and Production company positioned to take advantage of the current commercial and regulatory environment, operate in a lean and mean manner and extract value from all opportunities. Zigma has recently acquired commercial interest in a small Marginal field opportunity in Nigeria and has cautious appetite for bigger E&P opportunities. Zigma is contractor to Shell, Nigerian Agip Operation Company, Nigerian Agip Exploration and NAPIMS. Zigma has also worked in various capacity for NAPIMS, IDSL, NPDC, SPDC, SEPLAT, Mobil, Halliburton, Lekoil, Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority (OGFZA), Total E&P and Fidelity Bank. Zigma has Partnership and Strategic alliances with Halliburton, Valvitalia, Maersk, Fjords Processing, Racotech, Boskel, AOS Orwell, Flo Trend, Peso Energy Services, S&W Corporation, Verbispan, etc. Zigma is a member of WE Connect International and has been selected as a member of Project 100 a Ministry of Petroleum Resources an NCDMB initiative. Under her stewardship with her unique team of over 40 technical experts, Zigma has successfully executed various projects in the energy sector value chain such as; Shell Clean-Up Assessment Technique (SCAT) project, Logistics Support services for Ogoni restoration for Shell, Development of Giligili Well – Recompletion of Well 8 for GoldMark, Provision of Cementing Services for the 2018 Abo-auxiliary drilling campaign for Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC), Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) of oily water treatment facility at Oziengbe flow station for Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC), Procurement of Motorized valves for unit 1420 for NAOC, Supply of Geophones, Supply of Marine cables, Portakabins for Integrated Data Services Limited (IDSL) and other successfully completed projects. Zigma has business location in Lagos, Port-Harcourt and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. She is also founder of Jake Riley with its focus on Public Sector Transformation, Libra Security providing Physical Security services and defence procurement and Support our Troops Foundation which is an NGO set-up to promote citizen support for military Troops and families. She is a Founder and President of Women in Energy Network (WIEN) and association established to provide a platform for women that work across the Energy sector value chain.

Ibilola Amao

Principal Consultant, Lonadek

Dr. Ibilola Amao is the Principal Consultant of Lonadek Inc. (See: www.lonadek.com ). A multi-award-winning, ISO: 9001: 2015 Certified Company. Established as an Engineering, Technology and Innovations Solutions Consulting Company in 1991 she is involved in value-creating projects in the Energy, Power, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas sectors. Lonadek’s STEM and local content activities creates value through community, local supplier and human capital development in resource-rich emerging economies. She is recognized as a Forbes Africa Rising Star 2019. She is an alumnus of Manchester Business School, United Kingdom, bagged a Ph.D. in Computer-Aided-Design and Draughting from Bradford University, UK and a First Class Honours degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from Queen Mary College, University of London. She is the Chairperson for the Industry Advisory Team, Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board, – Industry Advisory Team and is a Fellow of the Energy Institute (EI), UK, a chartered member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), a member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), and a member of the panel of judges for the Royal Academy of Engineering UK Africa Prize. Dr Ibilola Amao is a member of the Institute of Director’s Programmes Committee and the Coordinator of the Young Members & Graduate Empowerment at the Energy Institute, UK, Lagos Branch. She sits on the Board of various reputable STEM focused firms. Dr. Ibilola Amao is a leading advocate of Local Content Laws and its outright implementation in the Oil and Gas sector. She was very involved in the various activities that greeted the actualization of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) guidelines before it was eventually passed into law on the 22nd of April, 2010. She is greatly averse to capital flight and human capital drift which the NOGICD Act stands for. She remains passionate and committed to Human Capital Development Initiatives and in STEM focused sectors of emerging economies.

Patricia Simon-Hart

CEO, Aftrac Limited

Patricia Simon-Hart is the founder and Managing Director of Aftrac Limited, an oil and gas service company that has been in operation for over 20 years. She is also the current Secretary to the Executive Board of PETAN (Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria), and has over 30 years of experience in Management, Public Policy and Administration. Patricia started her career in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector, and from there she set out to establish her own Oil Service company. AFTRAC began operations in 1998 offering a range of technology driven solutions to the Nigerian Oil & Gas Sector, including Sand Management, Process diagnostics and Interwell Studies. In 2007 Aftrac extended their operations to include Surface Well Testing services. In 2009 she was called into public service, appointed Commissioner for Water Resources and Rural Development, to the Government of Rivers State (2009-2015). She continues to work in the development sector on an ad-hoc basis. Patricia Simon-Hart has a Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard, Kennedy School of Government, a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics/Computer Science & Statistics, from the University of Port Harcourt, and is an alumnus of London Business School. She has two daughters, enjoys playing golf, and is committed to a variety of Christian charity projects and programs.
